My name is Denise Warsalla, coordinator for the Uganda Orphanage Project through the ministry of House of Prayer located in Belfair, Washington - a non-profit organization.  After returning from a recent mission trip in Kampula, Uganda, we decided the need was so great to build an orphanage, school and medical clinic.  Some hav eestimated that there are 30 million orphans in Africa.  Many children find themselves without parents due to diseases (aids and malaria) and war.

Under the direction of Pastor Roinas, we are raising funds to purchase land ($6,000) and build the 1st orphanage to house 50 children ($15,000) and a school ($20,000).  We feel that more is needed than to provide the children with food, shelter and clothes.  In order to break the cycle of poverty, the children will need an education and some work skills.  Dr. Kityo is the pastor at Faith Christian Center in Kampala, Uganda, and will oversee the school and orphanage.

Dr. Tamale works in a small medical clinic in Kampala.  There is a great need for children's vaccinations, anti-malaria, STD medications and medical supplies.  Most of the people in Uganda cannot afford medical treatment.  Also, dental care is almost non-existant.  We would also like to see this change.

Please consider supporting  "The Uganda Project" by sending donations to House of Prayer, marked UOP.

Many Thanks.

Dr. Tamale Pastor Roinas, Director of UOP
