House of Prayer Ministries function is to delight ourselves in, and give glory to, Jesus our Lord and to make Him manifest to all peoples.

We provide meetings where the believer can be encouraged and built up, the ungifted can be gifted with the Holy Spirit and the unbeliever can have their heart laid open before the Lord (1 Cor. 14:24-26).  We trust in the role of the Holy Spirit to give us the heart and mind of Christ and to lead us through each time we gather together (1 Cor. 12:4-14).  We have found that the anointing of the Spirit and the Presence of the Lord to be the most effective means to raising up sons and daughters of God.

The leadership does not exalt its own accomplishments, education or capabilities but lets its fruitfulness and reputation be as a result of ministering the new covenant (2 Cor 3:1-18).  We are submissive to the local Body of Christ and are accountable one to another.  Our doctrine is consistent with the historical Christian Church, but we know it has to be lived out by an intimate relationship with Jesus and the Power of His Spirit.  It is possible to have all correct belief and doctrine and yet be apart from the Life of Jesus.  We believe that everything in the scriptures is there to lead us into the Spirit led life and a dependence on our Father.

We provide ministry outreach opportunities as God opens doors in the community and worldwide knowing that as God fills and anoints each member, they in turn will go forth and do the works and ministry of Jesus.
